Dylan Marie's Story

Imagine being told by doctors that your child may not be able to walk, talk, or comprehend. Imagine her being written off at only hours old.

Dylan was born at just 31 weeks' gestation. She came into this world with Amniotic Band Syndrome, Moebius Syndrome, and her tongue attached to her palate. She was later diagnosed with autism and is partially deaf in her right ear. The odds were stacked against her from the very beginning.

Now imagine that same child excelling in everything she puts her hands and mind to.

Built on Differences

Throughout her life, Dylan was taught one powerful truth: be your most authentic self. That foundation caused her to soar in ways no one ever expected.

Dylan has earned a bronze award in Girl Scouts, a blue belt in Hapkido, membership in the FFA, graduated from high school with honors, induction into the National Technical Honor Society, and countless other academic achievements. She is proof that what others see as limitations can become your greatest strengths.

From Birthday Money to a Business

Dylan Marie's Paintings & Illustrations, LLC was built on the very foundation doctors thought would break her — her differences. The initial capital came from her sweet 16th birthday money. Her mom registered the business and applied for the LLC. Her parents and grandmother purchased the first set of canvases, paint, and brushes. Her mom and dad opened the business bank account with a $200 deposit.

After selling out every Facebook Live show from August through December of 2020, Dylan launched her website — and she hasn't looked back since.
